The classic Gene Kelly / Deanna Durbin romantic drama CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY shows free of charge at the Mystic Theater, located at 240 Commercial Street in downtown Nevada City. Based on a short story by Somerset Maugham, the movie stars Deanna Durbin as a fresh-faced small-town girl who arrives in New Orleans and is immediately smitten with charming rogue Gene Kelly, whom she soon discovers is harboring a terrifying secret. Durbin's favorite of all her films as well as her most commercially successful, CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY shows once only at 7 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Admission is free and the public is invited.
