Judge Orders Nevada County to Pay over $85,000 after County Illegally Withheld Election Records
On June 21, 2023, the Court ordered the release of a tranche of public records related to the November 2020 General Election, which Nevada County had been illegally refusing to provide to the public. Last week, the Court determined that Young was the prevailing party in the litigation and, as such, is entitled to her attorney fees and costs in an amount exceeding $85,000.
